Outreach Activities
The Colorado State Tree Farm Committee recently completed a strategic plan to help us guide our operations for the next few years. The plan states that: “Part of the mission of the Colorado Tree Farmers is to inform the public of the need for active forest management of private forested property and encourage landowners to get started.”
As the major focus of that mission the committee is to:
“provide outreach and education to the general public on why active forest management benefits forest health, with a strong emphasis on utilizing and assisting Tree Farmers in sharing how their active management benefits the health of the greater community.”
Because landowners are not all inspired or motivated by the same information and cannot all be reached with one delivery method, the committee has developed a variety of ways to reach out to landowners.
The following pages provide descriptions of ways landowners can find information and assistance on how to protect and improve the health of their woods.
